Canada climate query by Jaiv: I genuinely Want Aid answering this question from the novel “Speak” by Laurie Halse Anderson. Thanks ALOT!?
1. In these chapters numerous disturbing issues take place to Melinda: She faints at school IT approaches her at school the guidance counselor calls her parents about her negative grades, and so forth. Immediately after these issues take place, Melinda describes the climate: “A minor blizzard blows outside. The weather lady says it is a lake-impact story. The wind from Canada sucks up water from Lake Ontario, runs it through the freeze machine, and dumps it on Syracuse. I can really feel the wind fighting to break through our storm windows. I want the snow to bury our property.” How does this description of weather mirror Melinda’s feelings and what is going on with her at this point in the book? Thanks sooo much for the help!!

Properly, Melinda could be feeling trapped. Like she has no a single to talk to about her problem. She just desires to be alone, and left alone. She is becoming far more and much more remote from individuals, turning a cold attitude to school, I guess. You’d just have to compare winter to Melinda’s internal feelings. Laurie Halse Anderson does that a lot in the book. You just have to dig deep adequate. “Sordino” in Italian even means “mute, silent.”
I didn’t even know that till two days ago… :/
