Come on down to the recently discovered bar, J's Place,
to meet and chat with fellow Canadians over NT$100 Corona and
Taiwan Beer. Our host this month, Jennifer, also has other specials
on a wide range of pints. As usual, the night will begin at
7 p.m., and there will be a discount on the pub's yummy chips.
Free for members and NT$200 for guests.
Nestled in the heart of ZhongXiao East Road, J’s is
a cozy respite from the fast pace of Taipei. Relax on vintage
furniture collected from flea markets throughout Taiwan, view
some fine art hanging off the walls, or just sit back with
one of Jennifer's fine selections of European or South American
wines and enjoy the candle-lit atmosphere. An outdoor patio
is also available for those warm balmy nights. For those who
feel peckish, light snacks, such as fries, nachos and mozzarella
sticks, are available. Wash those appetizers down with a beer
from Europe. A variety of pasta and other dishes are on the
menu for those with an appetite. A piano is on offer for anyone
talented enough to make the keys croon.
Location: Take the MRT to Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, exit
2. Follow the map (below) on foot and you should arrive within
5-10 minutes.
MRT: Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall on the KunYang(Blue) Line,
Exit #2(5-10 minutes walk). Make your way to JenAi Rd and
walk towards Yen-Chi St. Turn left on Yen-Chi St. towards
Hsin-Yi Rd..Take a left at Lane 420 next to 7-11 store. J’s
Place will be the first bar you see on your right.
