Saturday December 19 : CST's Annual General Meeting @ La Luz Lounge

The Society's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held this year as follows:

Date : Saturday, December 19, 2009

Time : 20:00 – 22:00

Place : La Luz Lounge No. 137, An He Rd., Sec. 1 Taipei

Serve : Hors d’oeuvres and drinks

Price : Members – free, Non-members – NT$700

RSVP for your attendance at the meeting/dinner.

Other than a chance to meet and get reacquainted with fellow members, the meeting is your chance to vote for the 2010 Board of Directors and Supervisors. In this regard, attached please find:

1. The list of Candidates for the 2010 Board. Other candidates may be nominated by two Voting Members at the AGM, and the names of any duly nominated candidates may be inserted in the blank spaces provided on the Ballot;
2. An official election Ballot;
3. An official Proxy for the Meeting. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND THE MEETING, PLEASE APPOINT A PROXY, since we need a quorum to conduct business. The Proxy may be used to appoint someone to speak or vote on your behalf on other matters raised at the AGM. It is not required to vote for the Board; and

There are four ways to vote at the AGM:
In person, by presenting the Ballot at the AGM (official Ballots will be available at the AGM for those who forget to bring theirs);
If you cannot attend:

1. Your Proxy may vote on your behalf on matters raised at the meeting;
2. You may ask someone to bring in your Ballot to the AGM; or
3. You may e-mail your Ballot to the Society. However, if you do choose to e-mail in your Ballot, please mail it right away to ensure that it is received no later than noon, Saturday, December 19, 2009.

We make every effort to simplify voting procedures and encourage high voter turnout. We urge you to exercise your right to vote. The Society needs your participation!
