Vancouver

Grouse Mountain SkyRide

The ride to the top of Grouse Mountain on the cable car is one of the most fantastic in North America. The ride showcases some of the best of BC and also offers treks and walks, as well as wonderful nature trails along the way in summer. Children will also delight in the totem poles and other exciting features on a trip. During the winter time the area is covered in snow and activities on the powder are many.

TELUS Science World

For anyone big or small who has ever found science boring, there is the TELUS Science World. The globe shaped building is a brilliant place for all ages and offers practical experiments to lift science from the page and into the real world. There’s also an IMAX cinema inside and plenty of hands on activity and fun to keep kids interested.

Capilano Suspension Bridge

One of the most lauded of all the activities in Vancouver, this sky bridge allows you to walk at the top of the trees and provides amazing views of the forest below. Of course, owing to its location there are amazing walks, trails and plenty of sites to see on ground level and from above. It’s a unique and beautiful experience.

Kid’s Market

Yes, there is a market specifically for kids and it’s situated on Granville Island. The market is full of stalls, activities and other exciting happenings and focuses on the ecology on the area. Children and adults will find the market fun.

There’s also a nearby water park if you feel like a dip and some slide action during the summer. If not, just leave it to the kids and grab a coffee from some of the numerous great restaurants and cafes around the area.

Vancouver Aquarium

The aquarium in Stanley Park is also one of the finest sites to see in the city. It hosts a wide array of marine life and its own underwater areas holding creatures good, bad and ugly. Of course, Stanley Park is the perfect place for families with its sea wall walk, totem poles galore and numerous amenities
